Lisa and Laurie have a true passion for working with neurodiverse learners. They have both honed their craft and take their roles in supporting each student’s progress in all areas of their development, including academic and social, seriously and lovingly. Lisa and Laurie understand the importance of an excellent educational experience and strive to create a nurturing community of learners in a positive, structured, and fun environment.

Both educators understand the importance of meeting students where they are and implementing strategies and tools that work best to create an optimal learning environment.

Lisa Robotham

MS. Ed

Lisa has a true passion for working with our youngest learners! Helping each child progress in all areas of their development, including academic and social, is a call she is honored to accept daily. Having a child of her own, she understands the importance of an excellent educational experience. She strives to create a community of learners that nurtures this growth in a positive, structured, and fun environment.

As an educator for a decade, Lisa holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from Utica College and a Master of Science in Special Education from Brooklyn College and is a New York State certified Special Education teacher. Most recently, Lisa has extended her teaching certificate to serve and support students Birth-2 in special education. She served as a vice-principal at a high-performing charter school in Brooklyn, NY for several years where she helped train and support teachers in the classroom. Lisa specializes in working with elementary school students on English language arts and social studies skills.

Laurie Goldberg

MS. Ed

Laurie has been an educator with elementary to high school-aged students for 15+ years. Laurie’s expertise was developed in and out of various classroom settings in both NYC and Miami Beach. Throughout her career, Laurie has held various positions such as special education teacher, reading interventionist, SETSS provider, and instructional coach, providing one-to-one support to students with disabilities.

Laurie received a Bachelor’s in Social Work from New York University, summa cum laude, and a Master’s in Students with Disabilities from CUNY City College, magna cum laude, and currently holds a New York state-certified special education license. Laurie is also trained in many supplemental courses, including Into Reading, and has extensive experience designing unique and differentiated Common Core-aligned curricula. Laurie’s practice is highly sourced and developed from a holistic point of view, with an emphasis on equity and social-emotional learning for students of all abilities.
